WEST HAM are counting an unexpected cost from their gutsy 1-1 draw at Chelsea.
Hammers star Arthur Masuaku was spotted charging up and down the left wing at Stamford Bridge with gaping holes in the backs of his claret socks.

It was initially feared that West Ham had become infested with ravenous moths who had devoured Masuaku’s kit.
But further investigation reveals that the player did it deliberately.
Masuaku’s explanation is that in their original state the socks were ‘too tight’ for the bulging muscles in his calfs, so he loosened them up with a ripping frenzy in the dressing room before kick off.
Frenchman Masuaku, 24, is hugely popular with West Ham’s fans who even have a song about him being better than Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.

He recently served a six game ban for spitting at an opponent but publicly apologised and has played a big part in helping the club ease relegation fears.
A pair of this season’s home socks in adult sizes are down to as little as £5 in the club shop.
