Battered face of perv who was beaten up by hero dog walker who spotted him flashing schoolgirls play

A PERV has been punched in the face by a hero passer-by who saw him flashing schoolgirls in the park.

Karl Joseph Hoey , 24, of Southwood Road, Aigburth, Liverpool, exposed himself to a group of 15 and 16-year-olds in the city’s Sefton Park.

He followed, harassed and even punched one of the teens before a passing dog-walker intervened to subdue him.

Hoey, originally from Northern Ireland, appeared at Liverpool magistrates court after being arrested at the scene.

The court heard how he approached a 15-year-old girl and a male relative as they were 'collecting Pokemon' in the park before asking them if they wanted vodka and marijuana.

The judge was told he had tried to put his arm around the girl and touched her lower back before asking her: “Have you ever been molested before?”

He continued to make inappropriate comments before exposing himself to her, prosecutors said.

Reading out the girl’s witness statement, Angela Blackmore, said: “When I turned around he had his willy out and I was shocked when I saw it.

“I turned around quickly and I didn't know what to do

“It was in the middle of the park.”

He then followed the pair over to another group of teenage girls before telling them he was “a racist”.

When one girl confronted him he threw a punch at her, missing, before landing a blow on another.

At this point the dog walker ran over and overpowered the Irishman – who had recently been released from prison on licence after serving part of a sentence for domestic violence.

Hoey admitted exposure, assault, criminal damage and possession of cannabis and was jailed for 18 weeks yesterday.

But the violent offender will serve 11 months in prison after the new offences triggered a recall on licence.

The magistrates also ordered him to sign the sex offenders' register for the next seven years.
