BRITS are being slapped with bills of hundreds of pounds for repairs on hire cars which are never actually carried out. The Daily Mail reports car hire firms Avis Budget and Enterprise, which also owns Alamo and National, don't always fix dents and scratches they charge customers  for. They claim they accept a lower price when they sell the car instead. Meanwhile Europcar says it doesn't always carry out repairs until it is about to get rid of a car.

A MUM was left horrified by small black worms swimming in her toilet and took to Facebook to seek a remedy to rid of the creatures, after revealing bleach only seemed to attract them. The woman, from New South Wales, Australia, admitted the worms appear every time she scrubs and cleans her toilet with bleach - but they are more common than you might think, even in the UK. Taking to Facebook to ask for help identifying the pests, dozens of other users from across the globe shared they too had been fighting off  the worms which are naturally repellent to chemicals including bleach.

TELEVISION presenter Kate Garraway’s husband Derek Draper has lost his brave battle for survival nearly four years after becoming gravely ill with Covid at the start of the pandemic. A WOMAN was killed in a horror house fire that left a teenager seriously injured. The 43-year-old died at the scene of the devastating blaze at the end-terrace home in Sedgley, West Mids, on Saturday. Police confirmed today that a 16-year-old girl is still in a serious condition in hospital after being rescued from the flames. It is believed that she is the daughter of the woman who died in the tragedy.
