THE victim of a shooting near a primary school this morning was a drugs baron behind a Breaking Bad-style plot, it has been revealed. Neil Strong, 36, was jailed four years ago after being caught red-handed setting up a drugs lab in a suburban Manchester home. They had intended to produce £1.6million of amphetamines. A BRITISH wife killer has been arrested on Spain’s Costa Blanca after eight years on the run. Glenn Wathall was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1999 for beating his partner to death in a Christmas Day attack But he went AWOL following his February 2015 breach of bail conditions after his release from jail on parole. Today Spanish detectives confirmed the arrest and said he had been handed over to a judge who would now decide whether to extradite him.

Mendy, 27, has been on remand in Liverpool's HMP Altcourse since August as he faces a total of six counts of rape and one of sexual assault. It's now been revealed that there were nearly 340 inmate assaults in the last year - despite prisoners being locked up for the majority of the day during the pandemic.
