FIVE people have been rushed to hospital with head and chest injuries after a "serious collision" on the A19 today. Five ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, a doctor and an air ambulance team were called to the two-car crash in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, about 11.51am on Saturday. A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokeswoman said that four of the people involved have been taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, while the other was taken to the Leeds General Infirmary.

TikTok user @darkcatlyon took to the app to show viewers how she turned her humble motor into a homely spot. To make the bed, she folded the back seats forward before laying out some sturdy planks to hold the make-do mattress - creating a snug retreat. By emptying the boot of her car and stripping out the back seats, the motors whizz was able to make plenty of room for two people to spend the night.
NEW drivers face tough new laws AFTER they pass their driving test under new plans. Limits will be placed on the number of passengers under-24s can carry as part of a graduated driving licence (GDL). Learners would have to take lessons for at least six months under the plans and "P" plates would be compulsory for two years after passing. The Department for Transport (DfT) has revealed a "pilot" scheme will be launched in Northern Ireland.
TWO police officers shot dead in the Australian bush in an execution style bloodbath were killed by a former teacher and his conspiracy theorist brother. Australian cops Rachel McCrow, 26, and 29-year-old Matthew Arnold weregunned down in a shootout with Nathaniel Train, his brother Gareth and Gareth’s wife, Stacey Train. The two constables were part of a team of four officers looking for Nathanial Train at a property in a remote part of Queensland after his family reported him missing.

A RUGBY fan was caught red-handed by his wife after going to a match when he promised he was out Christmas shopping. London Scottish fan Stuart Atkinson was left red-faced by a cheeky announcer - much to the amusement of his fellow fans. The announcer informed Mr Atkinson that his wife had tracked him down to the ground using the "Find My iPhone" app, and had arrived to pick him up.
A PHOTOGRAPHER was tragically killed after being hit by a runaway bike which crashed into a barrier at the British Motocross Championships yesterday. Simon Mitchell, who was in his 50s, died as he took snaps of the race at Foxhill track near Swindon, Wilts. Tragedy struck on Sunday around 3pm when a rider came off his bike during a jump. The bike then smashed through a barrier made of hay bales and hit Simon.
