NEWCASTLE are eyeing Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande. Toon boss Eddie Howe is desperate for reinforcements with a growing injury list causing some concern. Diomande is on his radar, although his £70million release clause will give Newcastle's Saudi owners food for thought when the transfer window opens in January. Howe has sent scouts to watch the 19-year-old Ivory Coast ace, who's regarded as the best African prospect playing in Europe. He has started in every game for Sporting and has been scouted at least three times by Newcastle this season.

THRILLSEEKERS were reportedly stuck on a roller-coaster ride for two hours today with emergency crews rushing to rescue them. Fire crews had to pluck a man from the Wipeout ride at Pleasurewood Hills theme park in Lowestoft on Sunday. One witness said four fire trucks arrived at the theme park, adding a number of people had been stuck on the ride for two hours. It is understood a man had been suffering back pain on the ride.

A VIOLENT rapist who claimed to be Tyson Fury's cousin and forced his victims to eat their own poo has been jailed. David Overton, 31, seduced three victims before sexually assaulting them, a court head. Overton's vicious affairs began when he ditched his fake multi-millionaire persona and reinvented himself as "Davy Fury". The conman used steroids to help bulk up and began falsely claiming he was the boxing champ's relative - which his mother soon rubbished.

BRITS face more weather chaos today with “danger to life” floods predicted to hit parts of battered South Yorkshire. A new Environment Agency map shows the 127 flood alerts and warnings in place today – five of them being “severe” near Doncaster. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to chair a meeting of the Government's emergency committee after Jeremy Corbyn hit out at the way he has handled the floods.

A FEMALE pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry in a horror crash on the A2. The woman had been travelling in a grey BMW, which had stopped on the carriageway near Dartford Heath in Kent. She was then involved in a collision with a white DAF lorry in the horror at around 2.45am this morning. Emergency crews were scrambled to the scene but sadly the woman couldn't be saved and was declared dead shortly after.
