Royal Mail delivers bundle of letters ten years too late and some recipients had died
VILLAGERS finally had their post delivered — ten years late.
Dozens of letters from 2009 were found at a sorting office, with some recipients now dead.

Residents also received winning premium bonds and sympathy cards for deceased relatives.
The Royal Mail attached a letter apologising for any “distress and inconvenience” to affected locals in Great Baddow, Essex.
Tony Appleton, 83, who runs Newholme House care home, got a decade-old bundle. He said: “All the residents they were addressed to have passed on. It’s madness. I can understand post being late but never this late.”
Chelmsford sorting office boss Michael Tattam said “a long-term investigation” uncovered the lost batch, dated July to September 2009.
