Four easy ways to stop condensation building up in your bathroom and causing mould

OPENING the bathroom window is almost a given if you want to stop condensation from building up after a shower.

But did you know that you should also shut the bathroom door?

Cleaning expert Nazia took to TikTok to share "four ways to avoid condensation in the bathroom and house after a bath or shower".

First up, Nazia suggests cleaning the window and windowsill with a window cleaner - with the Karcher cleaner being her product of choice.

She also suggests having the extractor fan on during a shower, before opening the window when you're done.

And, most importantly, close the bathroom door to make sure the condensation doesn't spread to other parts of your house.

"I thought open door was better," someone asked, to which Nazia replied: "Condensation spreads throughout the house if bathroom door left open.

"I close it for the bathroom windows and extractor fan to do its job."

"What happens if I just leave the condensation?" another person asked.

With Nazia responding: "In the long run can lead to mould and also watermarks inside the windows as water gets trapped inside."

Someone else asked Nazia about having a window right next to the shower, with her replying: "It’s okay but does need to be wiped dry often.

"I clean the windows after every use and make sure the surrounding areas are all dry."
